Council has over 80 environmental groups who volunteer their time to help protect and restore our natural environment.
Through the Improving Your Local Parks and Environment grant, funding has been provided to several Environmental Groups (formerly Landcare Groups) who work in the Tuggerah Lakes catchment. This funding has assisted with purchase of materials, tools and plants (over 3,000) and the production of engagement flyers to better enable these groups to value add to their works, encourage new members to join and achieve positive outcomes for the Tuggerah Lakes catchment.

- Tumbi Wetlands Bushcare
In addition, Council has provided financial support to the following groups:
