Scooping water

Passionate About the Waterways? Get Involved!

Our estuaries and catchments are home to many amazing groups, activities and events that bring people together who care about keeping our waterways healthy.

Getting involved is easy. You can volunteer with local Landcare groups or the Community Environment Network, take part in citizen science projects like Waterwatch and BirdLife Australia, or join community events such as Carp to Croc. Local initiatives like the Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre also offer hands‑on ways to learn more about our coastline.

These activities are a great way to help protect our waterways while meeting like‑minded people in your community.
